Livestock and Horse Shows: Everyday starting at 9 a.m.
Demonstration Bldgs. and Exhibit Halls: Saturdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Weekdays from Noon to 10 p.m. Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Main Midway Hours: Saturdays through Sundays & Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to Close and Weekdays from 12Noon to Close.
Kiddie Land Rides Area Hours: Saturdays through Sundays & Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to Close. Weekdays from 12 Noon to Close.
ADMISSION: Adult admission $10, Senior admission (62 & over) $8, Children (6 to 11) $5, Children 5 and under are admitted FREE (Rides are not included). Rides are individually priced. A ticket is required for all persons aged 3 and over for concerts held in the Racetrack Infield.
NOTE! Pets are not allowed with the exception of Medical Dogs and Dogs participating in the 4-H/FFA portion of the Maryland State Fair.
RIDE TICKETS: Individual ride tickets may be purchased on the Midway at the Ride Ticket Booths (various locations throughout Midway). Tickets are $1 each and each ride uses approximately 1-6 rides tickets. Discount Ticket Sheets are also available: 50 tickets for $45.
ADVANCE DISCOUNTS - Fairgoers will fare better by taking advantage of the Advance Group Ticket Sales Program by purchasing a $100 minimum of any combination of admission, ride wristband and/or food coupons between now and August 17th, 2018.

M&T Bank presents Fox45 FAMFest PREVIEW NIGHT with RIDEMANIA:
Thursday, August 23, 5 PM – 11 PM, will give fairgoers a taste of the fun in store during the rest of the fair. Preview/Ridemania Night Only, fairgoers may purchase Admission & Ride Wristband for only $20 or a Walk-Around Admission for $1. NOTE: On Preview/Ridemania Night only the Midway rides, games and food stands will be open. Exhibition Halls, Livestock Barns, etc. will open Friday, August 24.
UNLIMITED RIDE ALL RIDES WRISTBANDS: $25 wristband only available Friday, August 24, Monday, August 27 through Friday, August 31. And, $27 UNLIMITED RIDE ALL RIDES WRISTBAND available Labor Day Monday, September 3. Unlimited (Ride all you can Ride!) wristbands are available for purchase from 10AM to 6PM (may be used from time of purchase until close). Fair admission is NOT included. Weekend wristbands only available through Advanced Discount Program (deadline August 17, 2018).
FOOD LION $5 OFF RIDE ALL RIDES WRISTBAND COUPON: Food Lion coupon only available for Friday, August 24 and Monday, August 27 through Thursday, August 30. NOT available on Labor Day, Monday, September 3. Pick up a $5 off discount coupon for an unlimited (Ride all you can Ride!) wristband, while supplies last, at participating local Food Lion stores! Present the coupon at Midway ticket booths.
LABOR DAY: Labor Day Monday, September 3, $27 unlimited (Ride all you can Ride!) wristbands are available for purchase from 10AM to 6PM (may be used from time of purchase until close). Fair admission is NOT included.
SPECIAL RIDES NOTES: All Riders (including parents riding with small children) must have either tickets or a wristband to ride. Visit www.deggeller.com, go to "Attractions" and choose a ride for more information or check out "Size Wise" (on mobile site) for individual ride height restrictions.
OTHER FAIR INFORMATION:
FACEBOOK CONTEST RULES: The Contest is open to legal residents of the U.S. where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. The MD State Fair has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant. All eligible entries received during the Submission Period will be gathered and a winner will be chosen at random. This contest is not related, sponsored or affiliated with Facebook in any way.
LIVE THOROUGHBRED HORSERACING & SIMULCASTING (ONLY DURING THE 12 DAYS OF THE MARYLAND STATE FAIR): The Maryland State Fair is home to a 5/8th mile oval track, which overlooks scenic York Road. Live simulcast racing begins, Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26 and Friday, August 31 through Labor Day Monday, September 3. Post time is 1PM. Meet at Timonium Features Two Stakes Races on Saturday, August 25th & September 1st, post time 1PM. Inaugural College Day at The Races takes place on Saturday, August 25th, 2018.
Grandstand Grille (located in the Racetrack Grandstand) will be open every day Thursday, August 23rd through September 3rd from 11AM to 8PM (Closing times subject to change without notice.).
PARKING: Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $5. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road west of the Fairgrounds. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available. Please see the fairgrounds parkers, and they will direct you to the appropriate and closest handicapped parking area. Because convenient parking is limited, we encourage the use of the Light Rail. UBER/LYFT drop off and pick up location is on the Deerco Road Park and Ride Lot. Patrons may then enter the fairgrounds through the Light Rail admission gate.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Fairgoers can ride Light RailLink to the "Fairgrounds" station, or the LocalLink 93 busline to the Fairgrounds Park & Ride, located on Greenspring Drive. The Fairgrounds entrance gate, near the Cow Palace, is just a short walk from both services. Because convenient parking is limited, use of the public transit is encouraged.
WHEELCHAIR RENTALS: Electric scooters, push wheelchairs, wagons, strollers, etc. will be available at the Light Rail & North Gates. Prices are as follows: Electric Scooter-$40 per day. Wagons $10 per day. Push Wheelchairs - $15 per day. Strollers - $10 per day.
HAND WASHING STATIONS: Hand washing stations are set-up throughout the fairgrounds for you and your family’s convenience. Make sure that once you and your family are finished visiting the animals that they make good use of the hand washing stations!
CAMPING: Camping is NOT available during the Maryland State Fair and is ONLY available throughout the year, for Vendors of Maryland State Fairground events! The fee for camping is $25 per day and the security will collect these fees each evening. There is sewer, water and electric available during the summer months, and because we winterize everything during the winter water will not be available during the winter season. Check with the security office at 410-252-0200 x230 to make sure that security will be available and that the gates will be open.

Demonstrations, protests, vigils of any nature are prohibited on the grounds and premises of The Maryland State Fairgrounds, during The Maryland State Fair, and during any and all events and functions.
