HOURS: Buildings and Midway Rides, Game & Food open at Noon on Weekdays and 10AM on Weekends & Labor Day.  Enjoy the Fair!

Demonstration Bldgs. and Exhibit Halls:  Saturdays through Sundays from 10AM to 9PM.  Weekdays from Noon to 9PM and  Labor Day Monday from 10AM to 8PM.

Main Midway Hours:  Saturdays through Sundays & Labor Day Monday from 10AM to 10PM and Weekdays from Noon to 10PM.

Kiddie Land Rides Area Hours:  Saturdays through Sundays & Labor Day Monday from 10AM to 10PM.  Weekdays from Noon to 10PM.


ADMISSION: Adult admission $10, Senior admission (62 & over) $8, Children (6 to 11) $5, Children 5 and under are admitted FREE (Rides are not included).  Rides are individually priced.  A ticket is required for all persons aged 3 and over for concerts held in the Racetrack Infield.   

-Free Admission for Military, Police, Fire/EMS with active ID (this only applies to the individual with the active ID).

PLEASE NOTE!  For the safety of fairgoers and animals, pets are not allowed
on the Fairgrounds EXCEPT those participating in sanctioned shows,
demonstrations, competitions, and trained service animals assisting handlers with disabilities per the ADA.

NEW!!! RIDE CREDIT WRISTBAND OR CARD (will replace RIDE TICKETS): This year the Midway is going semi-cashless. 
1.  Fairgoers will now purchase a Ride Card or Ride Wristband (with chip) at any Ride Kiosk or Ride Booth/Tent area on the Midway.
2.  Fairgoers purchase the number of credits wanted for each card or wristband. Fairgoers can purchase more credits at any time if needed.  
3.  There will be a one-time $2 activation fee when each card or wristband is purchased.
4.  Credits are 10 cents a piece (minimum purchase of 10 credits). Each ride ranges from 32 to 100 credits.

For example:
$10 = 100 Credits

$20 = 200 Credits

$50 = 550 Credits

Note: The Spaceport ride ONLY is $10.

CONTEST RULES
: No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chance of winning. The Contest is open to legal residents of the U.S. where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. The MD State Fair has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter will be ineligible. Multiple entries in a single day will not be accepted. All eligible entries received during the Submission Period will be gathered and a winner will be chosen at random. This contest is not related, sponsored or affiliated with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram in any way.


LIVE THOROUGHBRED HORSERACING & SIMULCASTING:  The Maryland State Fair is home to a 5/8th mile oval track, which overlooks scenic York Road.  Live racing begins, Friday, August 27, 2021 through Sunday, August 29, 2021 and Friday, September 3, 2021 through Labor Day Monday, September 6, 2021. New Post Times, Friday, August 27, Twilight Racing, Post Time 3PM and all other racing days, Post Time 12:40PM.

 

PARKING: Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $10. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road west of the Fairgrounds. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available. Please see the fairgrounds parkers, and they will direct you to the appropriate and closest handicapped parking area. Because convenient parking is limited, we encourage the use of the Light Rail.  UBER/LYFT drop off and pick up location is on the Deerco Road Park and Ride Lot.  Patrons may then enter the fairgrounds through the Light Rail admission gate.


PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Fairgoers can ride Light RailLink to the "Fairgrounds" station, or the LocalLink 93 busline to the Fairgrounds Park & Ride, located on Greenspring Drive.  The Fairgrounds entrance gate, near the Cow Palace, is just a short walk from both services.  Because convenient parking is limited, use of the public transit is encouraged.

HAND WASHING STATIONS: Hand washing stations are set-up throughout the fairgrounds for you and your family’s convenience. Make sure that once you and your family are finished visiting the animals that they make good use of the hand washing stations! 


CAMPING: Camping is NOT available during the Maryland State Fair and is ONLY available throughout the year, for Vendors of Maryland State Fairground events!  The fee for camping is $25 per day and the security will collect these fees each evening. There is sewer, water and electric available during the summer months, and because we winterize everything during the winter water will not be available during the winter season. Check with the security office at 410-252-0200 x230 to make sure that security will be available and that the gates will be open.

The Maryland State Fair reserves the right to confiscate any such item(s), which will not be returned.

All persons entering The Maryland State Fairgrounds and their camera bags, purses and containers are subject to direct/indirect physical search.

Demonstrations, protests, vigils of any nature are prohibited on the grounds and premises of The Maryland State Fairgrounds, during The Maryland State Fair, and during any and all events and functions.

*The Fair reserves the right to immediately remove any objectionable items from the Maryland State Fairgrounds including but not limited to items for sale as well as items used as promotional materials and in displays.

FAIRGOERS ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH ATTENDING THE MARYLAND STATE FAIR, INCLUDING SEEN AND UNFORESEEN MATTERS.  IN THE CASE OF ANY SUCH CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE MARYLAND STATE FAIR, ATTENDEES EXPRESSLY WAVE AND AGREE TO RELEASE THE VENUE AND ALL ITS AGENTS, PERFORMERS, AS WELL AS ETIX, MELLOWSHIP ENTERTAINMENT AND ALL ITS AGENTS FROM THOSE CLAIMS.  ATTENDEES AGREE TO ABIDE BY ALL VENUE GATE/SECURITY/PARKING/ADMISSION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BACKPACK, WANDING, SEARCHES, NO WEAPONS, NO DRONES, NO SELFIE STICKS.  
 
The venue reserves the right to refuse admission to any attendee in the event of disorderly or abusive conduct, inappropriate language, or as management determines.  The venue also reserves the right to eject or decline admission to any person(s) for conduct or language deemed inappropriate by management. Under these provision, the attendee is entitled to no refunds or remuneration of any kind. Unauthorized sale, resale, or attempted resale is illegal and may result in seizure and cancellation without compensation.
